Department of Hebrew Language

Prof. Ibrahim Salem
Head of Hebrew Language Department
Department Head's Speech
Greetings to my sons and daughters, students of the Hebrew Language Department, and my wishes for a happy academic year full of hope and success. The Hebrew Language Department aims to graduate students who are proficient in Hebrew language, both in speaking and writing, aware of others' thoughts, and capable of critiquing them. The Hebrew Language Department at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, is distinguished by unique features, most importantly its curriculum, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is characterized by modernity through focusing on courses that create students capable of speaking and practicing Hebrew effectively, resulting in many of our students working in Hebrew-language customer service companies. On the other hand, the department is characterized by a harmonious group of faculty members and teaching assistants, with specializations covering the department's needs. The department also has a distinguished academic school; it focuses on studying the other at various levels, including intellectual and linguistic, without neglecting literary studies and religious thought. My sincere wishes for success to all department students. You are Egypt's youth and its future, and its hope in overcoming all difficulties and building a bright future. May Allah grant success
