Message from the Head of the Department
I am honored to have been leading the Department of Spanish Language and Literature since October 2021. This distinguished department stands out for its esteemed professors, dedicated faculty members, and outstanding students.
Since its establishment, the department has been committed to leaving a clear impact and occupying a distinguished position among the departments of the Faculty. Therefore, it spares no effort in developing its activities and providing opportunities for its students to enhance their various Spanish-language communication skills.
It is worth mentioning that the Department of Spanish Language at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, has implemented two projects funded by the European Union. One of these projects contributed to the establishment of a joint degree with the University of Salamanca in Spain, the Egyptian-European Joint Master’s Degree between Helwan University and the University of Salamanca. The second project achieved several outcomes that played a significant role in developing a large number of young cadres from the teaching assistants of the language departments at the faculty.
Graduates of the Department of Spanish Language at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University, possess outstanding competence that enables them to meet the demands of the labor market in the cultural, media, and tourism sectors. I hope that the content of the department’s online page will contribute to promoting its various activities.
